Short answer. Fireflies is an AI notetaker that records, transcribes and summarises meetings for the people in them. Four/Four is a voice of customer platform that turns meetings, support tickets, chats and emails into themes and evidence for product, CS and engineering. Choose Fireflies for meeting notes. Choose Four/Four to know what all your customers are asking for. Many teams use both.
Four/Four is the voice of customer platform for AI-first companies. It brings together conversations from every call tool, help desk and CRM, turns them into one structured data set, and gives AI assistants the full evidence through MCP. Fireflies is built to record, transcribe and summarise meetings, and its MCP returns full transcripts one meeting at a time.

Four/Four is better for product teams, because it is built to answer "what do customers need?" rather than "what happened in this meeting?". Four/Four reads every conversation and extracts structured insights (jobs to be done, pains, needs, proposed solutions and feature requests). It then clusters those insights into topics without anyone choosing keywords first. A product manager can open a topic and see how many accounts raised it, which segments they come from, the value score, and the quotes behind it. Fireflies helps a product manager who attended a customer call remember it. Its topic trackers count keywords an admin defines, which works for known terms but misses requests customers phrase in their own words.
Fireflies does some voice of customer work within meetings, but it is not a voice of customer platform. Global AskFred can search and answer questions across past meetings, and Business plans add sentiment and conversation analytics. What Fireflies lacks is the rest of the customer's voice. It doesn't take in support tickets, chat or email threads, so the same complaint raised in a call and a Zendesk ticket stays in two places. Four/Four combines those sources into one set of topics and links each insight to the CRM account and opportunity it came from.
Both have strong MCP servers, built for different questions. Fireflies' MCP server has 19 tools and returns full meeting transcripts with speakers and timestamps, along with summaries, soundbites and meeting analytics. Free and Pro plans are limited to 50 MCP requests a day, and Business and Enterprise to 60 a minute. Four/Four's MCP server works a level higher. It returns extracted insights, topic models with counts, CRM accounts, contacts, leads and opportunities, product issues, and transcripts on request, across every source, each linked to its origin. Assistants can also label records and start new topic analyses. Ask Fireflies' MCP "what did this customer say?". Ask Four/Four's MCP "what are our enterprise customers asking for this quarter, and which deals does it affect?".
You can try, but for questions across customers it costs far more and breaks at scale. In a controlled test on Four/Four's own data, we asked Claude "What are the top pains for people with a Product persona?" two ways. Reading all 326 matching transcripts took about 2.86 million tokens. Reading Four/Four's 1,227 extracted pain insights from the same conversations took about 194,000, 14.8 times fewer. Both routes put the same four pains at the top.
On Claude Opus 5.5 at $4 per million input tokens, that is about $11.44 for one question from transcripts and $0.78 from insights. Follow-ups widen the gap, because "just enterprise accounts" means re-reading around 100 full calls, while Four/Four runs a filter. A question plus three follow-ups costs about $22 from transcripts against $1.37 from insights. At 1,000 sessions a month, the difference is about $248,000 a year.
The transcript route also hits hard limits. The full transcript set was nearly three times larger than a 1 million token context window, so most clients drop data without saying so. Fireflies' MCP fetches transcripts one meeting at a time, and Free and Pro plans allow 50 requests a day. Fireflies' MCP is the right tool for checking a quote. Four/Four is the right one for questions across all your customers. Read the full test and method.
Four/Four is better for CS teams who need to spot churn risk across accounts, while Fireflies suits CS managers who want a record of each customer call. Four/Four combines complaints and unmet needs from calls with support tickets and chats for each account, and tracks them over time in Monitor dashboards. Fireflies gives a CSM fast summaries and action items after each call, and its Business plan adds sentiment per meeting.
Neither is a full sales coaching platform, but Fireflies is the more natural fit for individual reps. Fireflies gives reps automatic notes, action items and CRM updates after every call, and its Business plan adds talk-time and question metrics for managers. Four/Four helps sales in a different way. It shows which objections, competitors and needs come up across all deals, links them to opportunities by stage and value, and gives marketing the exact words buyers use. Teams that need deep coaching and forecasting usually add Gong, which Four/Four also imports.
Four/Four is better for engineering, because Fireflies has no link between meetings and the code that ships. In Four/Four, each Jira or Productboard issue carries the customer insights behind it, with links to the exact moment in the meeting or ticket. Engineers and coding agents can review a change against what customers asked for, not only against the ticket description. Four/Four calls this closing the loop from voice of customer to code.
Fireflies is the specialist in transcription, so for raw transcript quality it is the reference point between the two. It supports more than 100 languages, though independent tests have found accuracy drops with non-native speakers and cross-talk. Four/Four's accuracy matters at a different layer. When it imports a Fireflies transcript, Four/Four extracts insights from it and links every insight to its timestamp, so anyone can check the claim against what the customer actually said.
Both tools respect existing permissions and offer enterprise controls. Fireflies has SOC 2 Type II and GDPR on all plans, HIPAA on Enterprise, and SSO and SCIM on Enterprise. Four/Four is ISO 27001 certified, uses role-gated permissions and SSO, and can redact PII and PCI before analysis. When Fireflies is connected, Four/Four reads only the meetings the connected Fireflies account can access.
Both take minutes. Fireflies connects to your calendar and its bot joins meetings automatically, so value is immediate for each user. Four/Four connects to each source through Settings > Connections, then processes the import before the first insights and topics appear. Teams already using Fireflies can connect it to Four/Four and keep their notetaker as it is.
Four/Four integrates with Fireflies, so you don't have to choose. Fireflies keeps recording and summarising meetings. Four/Four imports the transcripts, extracts insights, and combines them with tickets, chats and CRM data. Product, CS and engineering get the evidence without each needing a Fireflies seat, and AI assistants get structured answers through Four/Four's MCP on top of the raw transcripts from Fireflies'. See how the Fireflies integration works.
In Four/Four's own sales and onboarding conversations, the most common reason Fireflies users give for looking at Four/Four is feedback scattered across tools. Prospects describe customer evidence split between Intercom, Fireflies, HubSpot and spreadsheets, and ask whether Four/Four can import their past Fireflies meetings so the analysis starts with history already in place.
Four/Four charges for content processed, with no per-seat fees, so every team can use the evidence. See Four/Four pricing.
Fireflies charges per seat. As listed on fireflies.ai/pricing on 18 October 2026, plans are Free, Pro at $10, Business at $19 and Enterprise at $39 per seat per month, billed annually. AI features such as AskFred use AI credits, with 20 to 50 included per month depending on plan.
Not usually. Fireflies is a notetaker and Four/Four is a voice of customer platform. Most Fireflies customers keep it for meeting notes and connect it to Four/Four for analysis across customers. Four/Four also has its own notetaker, so teams that want one tool for recording and analysis can use Four/Four alone.
Yes. When you connect Fireflies, Four/Four can import past meetings as well as new ones, so you see patterns from the first day rather than waiting for new calls.
Yes. Fireflies' MCP server has 19 tools and returns full transcripts, summaries and soundbites to Claude, ChatGPT and other assistants. It works one meeting at a time. Four/Four's MCP server adds insights, topics and CRM records across all sources.
For a few meetings, yes. For questions across hundreds of customers, usually not. In Four/Four's own test, one question cost about $11.44 in Claude input tokens from raw transcripts and $0.78 from Four/Four insights, with the same answer. The gap grows with every follow-up, because transcripts have to be read again each time.
No. Fireflies captures meetings and uploaded audio or video files. To analyse tickets alongside meetings, connect Fireflies and your helpdesk, such as Zendesk or Intercom, to Four/Four.
Per person, Fireflies is cheaper to start, with a free plan and paid seats from $10 a month. The comparison changes as more teams need access. Four/Four charges for content processed, not seats, so adding product, CS and engineering users doesn't add licence costs.
Yes. Four/Four imports from both, so sales calls in Gong and other meetings in Fireflies feed the same themes.
